BG-ONE Winner of the Pittman Innovation 2019 Award

The Blue Guard Innovations (BGI) Solid-State Bilge Pump Switch with Oil / Fuel Alarm Sensor (BG-ONE) is a winner of the Pittman Innovation 2019 Award in the Systems category.

Managed by SAIL Magazine and judged by executive editor Adam Cort, cruising editor Charles J. Doane, technical editor Jay Paris and electronics editor Ben Ellison, the 2019 Pittman Awards were announced on January 16.

The flagship product in the BGI range of patented, solid-state smart switches & sensors. The BG-ONE functions as a bilge pump switch that helps prevent oil or fuel from being pumped into oceans, lakes, and waterways.

The BG-ONE was also the winner of the product innovation award in the Mechanical Systems category at IBEX in October and received a Special Mention from the DAME Design Award 2018 judges in the machinery, propulsion, mechanical and electrical systems and fittings category at METSTRADE in November.

The BGI range also includes the BG-HW High Water Alarm Sensor and the BG-SWA, a combined bilge pump switch and high water alarm.
